A local of Merced, California heard a story from a friend about some creatures making "horrific, intimidating sounds" somewhere in the Sierra National Park, and convinced the friend to show him the location. He visited the site where this took place on multiple occasions, often with a local journalist and hunter named Alan Berry.
Although he didn't record any visual evidence on camera traps, he captured several audio recordings of what he describes as vocalizations of several Bigfoot creatures. On some recordings he mimics them and believes they respond.
The recordings were analyzed by linguists and a sound technician who determined them to be human-like vocalizations, although unable to be produced by a human owing to anatomical limitations of the human larynx.
